I had a really nice Mother's Day. Getting up at 7am and getting kids ready for Church by nine isn't the part that I thoroughly enjoyed. However, while I was getting ready, Mckay pushed a picture through the door that he had drawn. It was funny and sweet, and it said mom. Hey.. I'll take what I can get. Kelsey had decorated a cute pot with a petunia in it for me (which she was really proud of and said her teacher said it was the prettiest in her class), and Tyson had a handprint made into a flower, with a poem. We finally got to church where Whitney usually hates to go to nursery unless I'm in there. So her gift to me was staying there by herself at least until after the snack. But my favorite gift that she gave me was when I was sitting in Relief Society and Brother Marsh brought her back to me. He told me she ate her snack just fine, and then she had had it and said "I want my mommy!" That for some reason made me so happy that she wanted me, and that I was there. Then she cuddled in my arms and fell asleep through the rest of the meeting. How nice! After church we went up to Sundance with Travis's side of the family. It was nice to be all together for Mother's Day. It was great weather and the kids loved it up there.

The American Fork Ice Breaker!

Well, Saturday March 28th, I completed my first Triathlon! Awesome! What is even more awesome...my dad was right there doing it with me! So we didn't take first, but we didn't take last either, and we had so much fun! I was so nervous in the beginning, but it just got funner as we went. Much better than being on the sidelines, where I was three years ago, when I decided this was something I totally would love to do and figured I never could. Amazing!! My friend Tracy was also right by my side pushing me along doing her first triathlon too. I have a feeling this won't be our last! Right dad? ....Dad??? All of our families were there cheering us on and taking pictures. I've never really experienced that sort of support before, it was GREAT!
